Admin Per Se DMV Hearing

At Law Office of David W. Knecht, we are prepared to fight for your right to drive. In addition to retaining us in your DUI court case, you may also retain us to represent you at a DMV Administrative Hearing to contest the legality of the Administrative Per se suspension.

When you were arrested for DUI, the police probably took your license from you and issued you a temporary driver’s license. The DMV calls this an Administrative Per Se suspension. You have 10 days from the date of your arrest to request a hearing to challenge the suspension of your license. As part of your representation, Mr. Knecht will call the DMV to request the hearing, request discovery, and to request that the suspension be stayed pending the outcome of the hearing. If you or your attorney do not call to request the hearing, you waive the right to contest the suspension. The DMV Administrative Per Se process is completely separate from the DUI court process.

Mr. Knecht has extensive experience representing clients in DMV administrative hearings.  Call him today to schedule an appointment to talk about your rights to a hearing.
