GREGORY S. CLARK

Gregory S. Clark has been practicing law for more than 7 years, specializing in criminal defense. Mr. Clark graduated from Santa Clara School of Law in 2009 and passed the California Bar Exam in 2010. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Clark attended the University of California, Berkeley, earning a degree in Integrative Biology in 2004. While studying at Berkeley, Mr. Clark worked at a local hotel as a bellman, a front desk agent, and a night auditor. Mr. Clark applies those customer service experiences to his client-centered law practice.

Experience

Mr. Clark began working for the Law Offices of David W. Knecht in 2014. Mr. Clark’s practice primarily consists of defending clients accused of committing felony and misdemeanor crimes in Solano, Sacramento, Yolo, and other surrounding counties. Mr. Clark’s practice also includes representing clients in custody and visitation, divorce, and other family law matters, as well as restraining order and DMV administrative per se proceedings.

Before assuming his current position, Mr. Clark worked as a Contract Public Defender for the County of Lake for about three years. Mr. Clark defended hundreds of client charged with misdemeanors in all aspects of their criminal cases including trials, probation violations, law and motion hearings, restitution hearings, and appeals. Mr. Clark’s time in Lake County built on the foundational skills acquired when Mr. Clark hung up a shingle, opening a solo practice in his hometown of Placerville, California. While in Placerville, Mr. Clark’s practice consisted primarily of family law custody matters and misdemeanor criminal defense.

Personal

Gregory S. Clark was raised in the Gold Country in Northern California, and currently resides in Sacramento. Mr. Clark is married to a wonderful woman who has given him an incredible daughter. His family will grow by one with the arrival of his second daughter at the end of 2017.

When Mr. Clark isn’t practicing law he is playing, thinking, reading, arguing, or dreaming about the game of basketball. He is a fan of Sacramento Kings and the San Francisco Giants.
