The following is a sample of recent successful case results obtained by Attorney David Knecht for his clients.  There is no guarantee that your case will have the same result.  The results portrayed below were dependent on the facts of each case, and the results will differ if based on different facts.  Mr. Knecht will meet with you individually to discuss the possible outcomes in your case.  Each case result is a matter of public record and can be verified upon request.  

  •  June 2011:  County social services reduced authorization of IHSS service hours by 85%.   Fair hearing requested.  Result:  restoration of all previously authorized hours.  
  • June 2011:  Assault with Deadly Weapon.  Result, ADW dismissed, client pleads to simple misdemeanor battery, no jail.
  • June 2011:  Misdemeanor illegal dumping charges with possibility of 6 months jail.  Result:  reduced to an infraction, $50 fine.
  • May 2011:     DUI case with .26% BAC and hit and run allegations.  Result:  Reduced to Wet Reckless – no license suspension.
  • May 2011:     Possession of Marijuana for Sales, Felony Child Endangerment.  Result:  Straight possession (sales charge dropped) of Marijuana, probation.
  • May 2011:     Felony Assault with Deadly Weapon, Brandishing a Weapon, Criminal Threats:  Result:  All crimes reduced to misdemeanors at preliminary hearing.  Plea to reduced charge, misdemeanor battery, probation, remaining counts dismissed.
  • May 2011:     DMV Admin Per Se hearing.  Dismissed prior to hearing.  No license suspension.
  • May 2011:     Theft case.  At trial, negotiate for diversion program.  No conviction.
  • May 2011:     Felony Weapon Possession.  Result:  Case dismissed.
  • May 2011:     Civil case (excessive force, negligence) settles with cash award to client.
  • May 2011:     Civil case (allegations of fraud) against local business person.  Result:  case dismissed against client, and client is awarded fees and costs.
  • May 2011:     Guardianship petition is successful, granted for client.
  • April 2011:   Possession of loaded weapon, misdemeanor.  Reduced to infraction “target practice in restricted area.”
  • April 2011:     DMV hearing, client facing suspension.  Result after hearing:  driving privilege restored.
  • April 2011:     Domestic Violence, Violation of Restraining Order, Burglary.  Result:  Misdemeanor DV Deferred Entry of Judgment Program on one count.  No jail, no probation. 
  • April 2011:     Civil Case (contract dispute).  Result:  case dismissed against client after Demurrer.
  • April 2011:     Felony identity theft, credit card fraud.  Result:  case dismissed after preliminary hearing.
  • March 2011:     Felony insurance fraud.  Result:  misdemeanor plea, no jail, 1 year probation.
  • March 2011:     Felony domestic violence, violation of restraining orders.  Result:  misdemeanor DV plea.
  • March 2011:     Juvenile record sealing granted.
  • March 2011:     Felony probation violation hearing.  Result:  dismissed after hearing.
  • March 2011:     Petty theft.  Result:  Diversion granted.  No jail, no probation, no conviction.
  • February 2011:     Personal Injury case settled resulting in substantial damage award to client.
  • February 2011:     Unemployment denial hearing.  Result:  Client awarded unemployment pay, including retroactive back-pay.
